South Perth Foreshore with Leah

Gday,

Was looking at the 5D the other day and thought I would check out the shutter count. Well it turns out I was told a little lie by the nice person that sold me it, I was assured that it had only taken around 50K images, To my suprise I find it to have taken around 150K. Oh well what can you do, So I got out and used it and hoped that the shutter didnt die on me.

These shots are of my mate Leah down on the south perth foreshore, I am getting more shots that I would consider keepers now. Thank god, something had to give. I have tinkered with some actions that I got from a photog over in the states. Whistling kites

Went out this morning for a shoot with a mate. We set up on a pathway in the bush and shortly after had about 5 or 6 whistling kites flying overhead They hung around for about half an hour but where just to far away to get a clean full frame shot. This is the best frame I managed to rattle off.

5D Mk II

I have just picked up my Mk II, first impressions, this thing is awesome. Very interested to see what the Mk III is like when it comes out now. Havent been out for a shoot with it yet but hope to in the coming days, will post back soon.

Mangrove Bay

This is a shot i just foundin my old stuff. this shot was taken in quite harsh sunlight up at exmouth.It would have been a great spot to go to at sunset but i didnt have the time. I had a bit of a play with it in photoshop and it came out ok, let me know what you think. Also when we were walking down tis beach we saw a little shark about one foot long swimming in the shallow water, that was pretty cool

My So-Called Life

I had the oppourtunity to shoot “My So-Called Life” the other night. Being my first gig shoot it was quite daunting weaving in and out of fans trying to get good shots. No one semed to mind too much though. Thanks alot to the band for letting me come down and try my luck at shooting them. It was deffinately a good learning experience. feel free to let me know what you think.

G’day,

Decided to try my hand at portraiture. Bit of a first for me so not to sure how to really go about it. I have no idea how to edit the shots either, it’s a bit different to landscapes. Here is a shot of my beautiful fiance, let me know how I have done.
